Turkey with Chorizo

For a heartier dish, add potatoes at the start of cooking. Also, the broth is not required if the tomatoes are very juicy.

Ingredients

  • 2 small onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2/3 cup white wine
  • 1 3/4 lbs boneless skinless turkey breast
  • 1/4 lb chorizo sausage
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

1. Peel the onions and garlic. Place in the bowl fitted with the ultrablade knife and mix at speed 11 for 20 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

2. Replace the ultrablade knife with the mixer. Add olive oil and white wine. Launch the P1 simmer program at 270°F for 5 minutes.

3. At the end of the program, add all remaining ingredients. Launch the P2 simmer program at 200°F for 45 minutes. Serve immediately.
