Hot Chocolate


You can replace the milk with a plant-based milk (rice or almond milk) and add spices such as cinnamon or a pinch of pepper.

  • 5 1/2 oz dark chocolate, divided
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla


1. Cut the chocolate into pieces. Place 1 1/2 oz. of chocolate in the bowl fitted with the kneading/crushing blade. Mix at speed 12 for 30 seconds. Remove the chocolate and set aside.

2. Place the remaining chocolate, milk and vanilla in the bowl. Mix at speed 5 at 190°F for 8 minutes.

3. At the end of cooking, mix again at speed 11 for 20 seconds.

4. Pour into cups and sprinkle with reserved grated chocolate. Serve immediately.
