Cranberries are such a great addition to any holiday table. The tart, acidic, and sweet composition makes them an amazing compliment to your savory main course.

Ingredients
- 24oz of cranberries, cleaned and picked
- zest of one lemon
- zest of one orange
- 1 cup of sugar
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 tablespoons of orange liquor such as Grand Marnier
- ¼ cup of maple syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients in your Copper Core Sauce Pan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer until the cranberries pop and the sauce thickens. This should take roughly 15 minutes.
- Remove the cinnamon stick from the mixture. Let cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate if making ahead of time. When ready to serve bring it to room temperature.
Pro Tip:
This recipe can be made up to 4 days ahead of time. Before serving, let the compote come to room temperature.
