Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup or one stick of butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate chopped, plus more shaved for garnish
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of chocolate chips plus more for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Line a Copper Core 10-inch skillet with parchment paper.
  2. Fill a 2-quart saucepan with about an inch of water. Over low heat, place a large mixing bowl on top of the saucepan and add both the chopped chocolate and butter to the bowl. Use a silicone spatula to mix the two ingredients together until they are combined into a chocolate mixture. Remove the bowl from the heat and let cool slightly for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar to the mixture. Stir to combine completely. Add the vanilla and eggs one at a time, making sure the first one is completely mixed in prior to the next. This will ensure the final mixture is smooth and homogenous.
  4. Sift the flour into the mixture along with the salt and gently fold in making sure you are not overmixing. Pour in 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and gently mix into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the skillet and let bake for 12 to 15 minutes where it is mostly set in the middle and cooked on top. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
