Connecticut Steak Sandwich
A great sandwich to enjoy in upstate Connecticut, or where ever you are!

Ingredients
- 12 oz hanger steak (or similar)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic, unpeeled crushed
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 1 Rustic loaf
- 1 large heirloom tomato, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 handful arugula
- 2 oz. goat cheese
- olive oil
Directions
- Preheat a medium pan over high heat. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Add oil to the pan and sear steak for about 2 minutes.
- Flip and add butter, garlic clove, and rosemary, and baste continuously for 2 minutes until desired temp is reached. Set aside to rest before slicing.
- Slice the loaf in half and top with goat cheese, tomato, steak, sliced avocado, and arugula. Season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil before serving.
